Swimming Lessons
Registration begins at 8:00 am at the Richland Community Center or on-line. This includes the Aide Certification Program, Guard Start, and Swimming Lessons. Lessons are held at George Prout Pool.

Pre-Guard Prep
Ages 11-15. Shadow on-duty lifeguards, receive hands-on experience, train in basic rescue techniques and get a behind the scenes look at the job of a lifeguard. Pre-Guard Prep is very beneficial for those interested in becoming a lifeguard at the age of 16. Learn prevention, response, professionalism, fitness and leadership.

Aide Certification Program
Ages 12-15. Learn what it takes to teach swim lessons and how to be an effective swim instructor assistant. Successful completion will give you the opportunity to volunteer for actual Parks and Recreation swim classes.
